Historically, Piedmont represents the most important region for the cultivation of the Moscato grape. The spirit obtained from the distillation of the pomace is a soft, aromatic and distinctive Grappa. This Grappa is the quintessential expression of whatis a Monovitigno, a single grape variety.

Tasting notes
Color: clear, transparent, crystalline
Aroma: strong hints of Muscat grapes and characteristic aromas of rose, lemongrass, lily of the valley, orange blossom and elderflower
Taste: the softness of the distillate combines with a fragrant note; long and persistent aftertaste
Consumption tips
Serve in a tulip shaped glass at 18 - 20°C.
Recipe
Moscato Julep
50 ml Grappa Luigi Francoli Moscato del Piemonte
2-3 tablespoons white cane sugar
Soda
Top Amaro alpino (Noveis)
Garnish: fresh mint and slice of orange
Dissolve the sugar in 50 ml of Grappa in a glass. Add a handful of mint leaves and mix. Fill with crushed ice and mix gently. Finally add a splash of Jamaican rum and top with soda. Top with Amaro Noveis.
