Ottantotto (Eighty-Eight) is the number of barrels that were purchased by Luigi Francoli to age one of his most outstanding grappas which he laid down in the year 1988. Since then Ottantotto Barriques has become synonymous with the very best from the Francoli Distillery. Continued ageing in these same barrels has added complexity and finesse, making this superb grappa one of the company's outstanding spirit.

Tasting notes
Colour: amber, with very intense golden reflections
Aroma: jam and candied fruit with a pleasant hint of raisins; end; noble
Taste: the vigorous entry of the alcoholic note does not hide a sweet nuance due to the long aging. You immediately feelthe vanilla of the wood accompanied by notes of tea leaves and candied fruit. Pepper emerges in the finish. Persistence is remarkable
Consumption tips
Serve in a tulip shaped glass at 18 - 20°C.
Product history
Small-scale production, top-quality vinaccia that is hard to find. A whole range of fragrances and perfumes and a total involvement of the senses.
All these are produced on a small scale; carefully distilled and always made with extraordinary raw materials and which achieve the desired results only if all the pre-requisites of quality are met. These grappas are only distilled in especially good years. It is the Master Distiller, not the market, who decides.
