Product history
The Legend:
In 1525 the artist Bernardino Luini, a brilliant pupil of Leonardo da Vinci was commissioned to paint a fresco of the Madonna of the Miracles in Saronno.
To portray the Madonna, he chose as his muse a beautiful local innkeeper.
As a mark of her gratitude, she prepared for the artist a special gift of a flask full of an amber liqueur, fragrant and delicate.
That is how the legend of DISARONNO arose: from a simple gesture of kindness and the unique handmade combination of secret ingredients.

In the first years of the 20th century, Domenico Reina decided to open a store and workshop in Saronno, where the Disaronno Originale was produced and marketed

In 1942 the iconic bottle arrives, with an elegant, original label it became of a squared shape.

The first great export boom came in the 1960s, when the liqueur was presented and promoted in many different countries

In 2001 a final decision was made to identify the product, it became DISARONNO.

And in 2020 the latest novelty is Disaronno Velvet: a new cream liqueur with the unmistakable taste of Disaronno.
